COLLECTION III
The series of mixed media paintings in Collection III was created for the Exhibition Of Water & Bone* at the Newport Art Museum in 2016. The large black and blue compositions reflect the impending pollution of waters from oil spills and mining of fossil fuels. I also experimented with glass making, and infused detritus to make square specimens of troubled waters. *Of Water & Bone was created in collaboration with daughter Julia Mandle.
